10 Times Beyonce Surprised Us

Beyonce has always known how to keep us on our toes, and we can’t get enough of it. With her surprise project Lemonade coming out tomorrow, we took a look back at the 10 times she shocked us the most. Brace yourselves for impact come tomorrow.

The queen likes to keep everything in her life totally on point. Her pregnancy was no exception. Beyonce hinted that she planned to have a baby by the time she was 30, and after three years of marriage to Jay-Z, she announced her pregnancy just before her 30th birthday.

We’ve always known Beyonce for her long, loose waves, but everything changed in 2013 when she debuted a bleached boy cut in three Instagram photos. The new ‘do got mixed reviews, and fans compared her to Miley, but we knew she was just getting started.

With 110 million people watching, Destiny’s Child came together to perform at Super Bowl XLVII. “It’s one of those magical performances you can’t recreate,” Beyonce told CBS. “I wanted it to be something iconic and something that people would never forget.” Mission accomplished.

Remember when there was suddenly a new Beyonce album and we all completely freaked out? Duh. How could you forget? From the alleged home video that was Drunk in Love to a trophy room that seems familiar to a young Bey, it was utterly perfect.

This surprise took to the VMAs stage, where all the Blue Ivy magic began. Beyonce performed her entire album, then Jay and Blue came onstage to present her with her award. Tears were shed, and not just by the family.

The full track of 7/11 was leaked, and Beyonce took it in stride. She made a totally badass home video with her squad and we were completely googly eyed.

Beyonce totally stole her sister Solange’s show at Coachella, but Solange was into it – no hard feelings. She sang and danced alongside Solange to Losing You, and everybody who wasn’t there was super jealous.

Okay, Bey, we were already talking about you so much with the Super Bowl, and then you went and released Formation. The hair changes in the video were almost countless, and we were talking about it *maybe* even more than the Super Bowl itself.

Beyonce told us about Ivy Park in October of 2014, and we pretty much forgot about it. Then all of a sudden she was wearing it in two Elle covers and it sold out almost instantly.

We don’t really know what Lemonade is even going to be, but chances are it’ll be huge.
