There is a scientific reason behind every aspect followed by Hindus including me! According to my view, we people often don't follow any of the cultural aspect unless it gives us some materialistic profits/benefits! So we are made to believe that God exist & by the fear of it, we often perform all the duties assuming god will do something good in our lives! I don't think people would follow all these aspects without attaching the name of God! As god is the only person above human being in the matter of ego so human beings value God more than human beings! Everyone is racing! Whatever..directly or indirectly it helps to keep our health in good condition!

Good attempt but other than 1 or 2 interesting points basically rubbish. Mercury on head? Henna for fever? Scientific reasons for bangles? Oh give it a break. Not everything needs a ‘scientific reason’ for heaven sake. Further, your presenter needs to get out of school teacher mode .

  29. Sheetal Verma March 20, 2019 at 1:40 am

Why is she using the word "was" or "were"???
My mother still follows all and a lot of hindu women follow it, just because she is living in an area where some so called "modern "women aren't following doesn't mean the rest of us are also not following.
This is outrageous. Why is she wearing all this? Has she died or what?? Using the word was and were as if we don't do it anymore. I really don't like such women.
My grandma follows it and my maa follows it…..Just cuz a few women don't follow it doesn't mean we also don't….What about rural india ???? Try using the word was or were there.
    What nonsense!
Btw the video is very informative….Nice work. Though I don't like the woman speaking.
