    I would be careful with the salt on the pan. If you are using this hack on a non-stick pan it will damage the protective coating.

    Another great one for salt… If you're cleaning an old fashioned coffee pot at work, fill it up with ice and sprinkle in a healthy dose of salt. Then swirl it around and let the salt and ice brush off all of the excess residue before you wash. Even if a bit of salt is left behind, salt naturally mellows extra-strong coffee, so either way, it's a win-win!
