    There was an article 'broke' today on the radio talk programme I listen to here in the UK, about the amount of salt in the average Chinese or Indian Take-Away meal. There can be up to 11 grammes of salt in one meal, well over the daily intake required and that's before the likes of MSG and other sodium by-products. I'm not sayin' traditional dishes from these countries aren't good but cooking it yourself is the only way to keep reins on the salt intake. Nothing like a good home-made curry or stir-fried rice dishes.
    I dare say some seed company is trying to get a grass that cows can eat and not give off the methane they do. I wonder what will be used for that…?

    One of the best things I ever did was cut out the majority of processed foods. A few years back I went from 310 to 235 within a year. I cooked a lot of venison. Maintained it up until last April. Was treated for Lyme disease and that medicine helped me gain 30lbs. A few months after that, got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and started meds to get that under control. The sooner I can get off of them, the better. Going to talk with my doctor about it next month

    I read something a long time ago where mcdonalds created some type of beef flavoring for their frys in a lab intentionally with addictive qualities……wouldn't surprise me if true!

    Here's YOUR Challenge. Go Vegan or Whole Food Plant Based with NO animal products.. Then after 2 months go get blood work done to see if your healthier. I bet you can't and Won't! Why because off grid people are Conditioned to believe they need meat – you Don't! Everything is found in the plant kingdom, yes, plants have lots of protein!

    Heart Disease. You are talking about processed foods that have lots of salt sugar and fat but you Do Not take into account animal products. I suffered for two years with heart disease, pain every night not knowing if i will wake the next day. Now I'm pain free, blood pressure fine and lowing my cholesterol which Only comes from animals all because I Stopped eating animals. You are Not telling the whole truth!

    Doug, and Stacy. You are so right about controlling our food sources! I used to eat 3 meals a day of processed foods, was tired and got sick more easily. Now, I eat one meal a day, consisting of whole fresh vegetables and greens. I feel better than I have felt in years, and I no longer get sick! Let's stop feeding the medical and pharmaceutical industries, and take back control of our health, as nature intended!

    oh, y'all are steppin' on my toes with this one. JUST WHAT I NEEDED TODAY!! Thank you! thank you for posting every(just about) day. Going around the bend again, of detoxing from all the chemicals and etc. in our food, and "take charge of our health."     You are preaching to the choir here!! I feel so much better now that I eat REAL food! I think growing your own makes you eat healthy more too because you put so much effort into it. For those who feel they don't have time. One work…..crock pot! I make a huge meal every Sunday and bring it for lunch all week.

    I work in a grocery store. (I'm 62 and needing to buy 'health' insurance). Can't retire too soon enough)! Talk about people not knowing how to cook. I'm waiting for a "Millennial" to ask me, with their 'smartphone' in hand, where the boiling water is. I could write a book…lol I have often said that my Sicilian immigrant grandparents and their kids, ate far better/healthier than the newer generations. They kept gardens and knew how to cook from scratch. Common sense indeed.

    The biggest problem in North America today is laziness. "Oh I don't feel like cooking" so they order a pizza. "Oh it's so much work to make my own lunch and pack it around".

    Start out with eggs! usually ends with fresh hog, beef or chicken whatever we slaughter that month?Side dressed with garden variety canned goods but they have salt in them! Sugar processing is not that difficult. Fast foods suck!!!!

    I have been slowly working my way out of my addictions. I used to try and just change my lifestyle overnight and would always fail. But now I'm taking it very slowly and breaking away from one thing at a time. Its been 6 months since I've had Taco Bell (which was my all time fav addiction, lol), 3 months since I've had the other main fast foods, one month since I've had any soda, donuts or pastries. There are still other things that I need to cut out but I try and give myself space and not rush it. I'm slowly adding the healthy things in and my goal is to get into a keto/GAPS style of eating to help me lose weight, any variation that is within the nourishing traditions lifestyle. Beating food addictions is difficult

    If it’s made in a plant, don’t eat it. If it IS a plant, eat it. Another great book is Forks Over Knives. Whole food plant based diet. Best for a human. And always read the ingredients in everything you buy👍🏻

    High froctose corn syrup is very addictive I know I used to weight 781 pounds I quit eating that mess and lost 350 pounds in 5 yrs so yes it's very bad for you lol

    Thank you for the video, it just enforces into me how important it is to cook at home and I do for the most part. My husband and I are eating the ketogenic diet and my husband has lost 40# and I have lost 20# and it's important to cook at home for this diet. And I would love to hear the poems maybe you can sprinkle them into your videos. 😉

    On Thanksgiving many years ago, my son and his wife decided to come up to our place and surprise us. We lived in the mountains at that time, so not many wanted to come up into snow country. They brought all the fixin's. At that time my daughter-in-law was afraid to eat our food. I am happy to say, all that has changed. Most of it was packaged food that I wasn't used to cooking. As we were working around the kitchen, I asked my daughter-in-law how to cook a certain item and told her, I wasn't used to cooking this way, that's why I was being so slow. She said to me, "This is the only way I know how to cook. As the years past, my son taught her how to cook. Actually, he still does a lot of the cooking.

    Lately I've been looking into how to detox from toxins (vaccine injuries) and alternative cancer treatments (nutrition based) and guess what? They are practically the same, and are ending auto-immune diseases as well ! The root of modern diseases is as always, the immune system. When that can function fully without it being called away to deal with problems caused by the 'foods' we eat, then it can quietly and easily knock off the harmful cells that occur on a daily basis.

    Not only Urgent Cares popping up, but Kidney Dialysis Centers also. It's a vicious cycle "they" have started. I am so thankful my husband opened my eyes to what's really going on. No more pills in our house.
