2.4 ghz what about 5 ghz.

  2. Bill A November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

The db loss at 2.4ghz of the coax cable connecting the external antenna, will likely negate any any gains compared to the directly soldered stubby antenna.

increased kitty range? hmmm… that's got some potential!
    Me: NOT REALLY…!

  14. Galaxy Tab November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

be lucky to extend the range by a few feet at best, the tiny amount of rf output available would be almost lost in that length of coax, you've got so little power to start with, you'd need to have that cable at the absolute minimum length you could and then place it as high as possible, but like I said, the range increase would be negligible

Does this also allow me to connect more than one bluetooth device to the computer?
    For Example: Multiple bluetooth speakers

  16. enlightendbel November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Isn't BT range deliberately low as to not interfere with other 2.4Ghz signals (like Wifi, etc) and to make it low power compared to Wifi?

Doing this may actually be illegal. Like setting up high power WiFi and other EM signals is illegal without the appropriate approvals and licenses.

  17. TenOndra November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

I like to increase the range of my kitty with a wifi extender.

  18. fartwrangler November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

So… where do you get one of these antennas?
The link just goes to a site showing this same video.

  19. GODisONE MANisDUMB November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

  23. SonicRyder2006 November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Well, This guy has a point about not being half a mile away from your TV. It would look like just 1 Pixel if you actually had that.

  24. The Racing Signal November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

mount the antenna on a empty metal large ciffee can and go a full mile.

  25. GD Qeloww November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

  26. GUJA BANETA November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Nice vid but, I think you must change antenna in second device to boost both tx and rx

  27. James Sayian November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Hey kipkay my bluetooth adapter has a built in antenna that looks like: ===== =======
    || || ||
    ======= =======
Could i solder to the antenna thats built in????

  28. Ian sberg November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

what about power/current draw? Any issues with overheating or voltage drops?

  29. peter schiller November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

But the Bluetooth antenna has just one cable, which is soldered with one part in the Bluetooth case. But the 2,4 GHZ Hypergain antenna has 2 cables. Where did you soldered the second cable ?

  30. Willie November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

didnt worked for my bluetooth build 😢

  33. Jason Davis November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Would this work for a Bluetooth Gateway? The gateway allows me to add my cell phone to my home PBX, but if my phone isn't right beside the gateway then it gets very staticky. I would like to make it so I can cay my phone around with me but still use the gateway.

  34. PapaGeorg10 November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Can I do this with a bluetooth dongle?

  35. Harley FlU November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

    Hi Kipkay

I was wondering if it's possible to convert the receiver for my wireless mouse to a universal one to connect to my wireless headphone ?

  39. R Davis November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

Could this antenna be used on one of those wireless driveway motion detector alarms to extend it's range??

  40. EpicestGamer November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

why not a long range console controller
It's not like you're going to be using it's full potential, (I mean who's gonna be playing console games half a mile away from their console) but alot of remotes and controllers have VERY sucky range
    just saying

  41. Оксана Норкина November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

    fuu

  42. Raif Ramdass November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

  43. Zombie Burger $2.99 November 10, 2017 at 5:15 pm

    You have a radio?
    Bluetooth just acts the same
big whoop! Get a life ffs
If 35M or roughly 114ft isn't enough for you then what the hell are you doing?
Attach a bigger antennae to any radio device and you get gains. DUH!
