Did you know Louisiana has its own LYCAN?!?!?!

Good Morning!!!

This video is a fun one, where I get to talk about my nerdy obsession with Werewolf literature and how Louisiana has it’s own take on the supernatural creatures. Maybe this will inspire a new story? Or maybe you’ll just get a kick out of learning a little about Louisiana culture. Either way, I hope you enjoy the video.

Omg yasss! My maw would tell me stories to scare me from the swampy places…also if you were a bad Catholic, they would kidnap you lol. 😂💜💜

Ohhh I heard the “pulling toes” things but it wasn’t to do with the Rougarou…it was more like if you die but we’re really mischievous as a living person, you could come back and pull toes on your family during Mardi Gras season

I've heard of this before. I also heard about the way they could stop being one. I don't remember where I learned all this though, maybe a movie? Anyway, it was pretty interesting to hear.

Oooooh! Thank you for this video!!! 💜

My main character (sci-fi) has the tendency to kneel down and grab the feet of the opponent to tumble them down in fights. (He's a petit guy, he's gotta do some other things besides brut force).

I can totally use that"he grabs toes like a rougaroux" if Miss LeGardien ever comments on his fighting skills! (Yes, she's Cajun). Eeeh, now the calendar outside her office door makes so much more sense! Every little detail counts. 💜

Thank you so much! Keep the stories coming. I love this!

Oh I'm always open to hear more about werewolf myth since I also write paranormal romance. My current series includes werewolves among other supernatural species. We should connect sometime. Once I get a new phone (lost mine a month ago), I'll look you up on Instagram. 😉

Wow interesting, I've never heard of this! I definitely think there is a lot of story potential in loup-garou trials
