Question: Who's face is that you keep showing when talking about Brendol Hux 1:52 ? Was there an actor slated to play him at one point?

I think chickens where also mentioned in the book. Goats wer metioned twice.

If Phasma dies in the last jedi, I will not buy this book, this will make her is a useless character

  5. The Greatish Gonzo February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

When I read the scene where Phasma dons the Mandalorian armor, I took its description to be Sabine's given the bright colors and no mentioning of any jetpack affixed to the back of the armor.

  6. Carlisle the Cinephile February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

So I guess Phasma is Lanius from Fallout New Vegas? I am okay with that.

  7. Spartan0941 February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Plasma is scum same with Hux, they muddy the true goal of the first order

  8. Eric Venuto February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

I could be wrong but my takeaways were:
Phasma transfer the electronics from her standard issue FO helmet into her prototype model?
Also when she take her helmet off to show Cardinal she is described as "beautiful."

  9. Eli February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Blue eyes, pale skin and blond hair is not all the description. Cardinal thought of Phasma as "deadly beauty".

  10. hdtwin February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

@starwarsexplained was just watching TFA and I caught Kylo telling Hux that he was skilled at commiting high treason….. I think that was a stab at he and Phasma plotting to kill Brendal Hux! This is why I love having the back story!

  11. Bilal Howard February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Did Phasma find Sabine Wren's helmet on Parnassos?

"It wasn't much like the smooth, rounded stormtrooper hemets. Beat-up and painted in bright colors, it had a black line across the eyes, another black line from the nose to the chin, and a tiny antenna poking up from the top."

  12. Midcentury MacGyver February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Hmm, I don't think this book confirms that Snoke led the first order 10-15 years before TFA like you said. Snoke is mentioned approximately twice in the book and it's in present-tense and says nothing about when he started his rule. This book doesn't have a specific time frame of when the current date is, but it does take place after Bloodline. Sorry to nit pick – great video, though!

    I never seen Lost soooo….

    Didn't know that there'd be Lost spoilers…

  16. Cameron Schmit February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

She picked up Mandalorian armor? I didn't hear that when I listened to it. The helmet I remember being described as different with a "straight line" by the mouth or something, but I assumed it was like a biker scout helmet.

After Mace survived his fall from Palpatine's window he uses the force in the form of force crush which his anger allowed him to tap into and crushed the heads of a few clone troopers who were at the bottom casually talking with each other until their surprise death. He puts on the aromor of a clone trooper to disguise himself even though he had a missing hand which he explained using the jedi mind trick that a jedi had cut it off in a fit of anger. Then a medical droid builds him a mechanical hand and he then put on a clone trooper glove and joined a group of troopers that headed for a transport to Mustafar to set up a command post. He finds that these troopers had a collection of light sabors from fallen jedi who were killed at the Jedi temple, he hides one of them inside a weopons pack and waited until he could break away from the other troopers. After the ship laded behind Darth sidious' ship, he takes the opportunity to steal the ship and escape. He makes it to Yavin 4 and takes an escape pod after he set the onboard computer to continue on until it runs out of fuel. His escape pod crashes to the surface of Yavin 4 and Mace Windu goes into the woods where he hid out from the empire. A few years later an empire prison shuttle crashes on Yavin 4 and it stranded a group of prisoners and a couple clone troopers. One of the clone troopers ended up mating with a Chis female prisoner and has a highly force sensitive son and, due to his inherited accelerated, he was a young boy about five years old within two years. The boy was named Castrian and one day he got lost in the woods where Mace Windu found him and kept him hidden from his family. He took the boy as a padawan and soon an imperial ship comes and picks up the survivors of the prison shuttle and the two surviving clone troopers rejoin the other troopers and takes the recaptured prisoners to their former destination. Mace and Castrian became very close like a father and son and he trains Castrian to be a jedi like himself. Then when Castrian was approximately 25 he and Master Mace Windu take the now repaired prison shuttle on to Tatooeen where they stay until Luke Skywalker is of age and Mace and Kenobi agree that they go on separate missions against the Empire. While Kenobi takes Luke on their mission Mace and Castrian board another trader ship and go to another group of rebels to help them on their missions.

On the holoscreen showing the Starkiller Base's shields, is that wing-shapped image to the left the Supremacy? Caught my eye during the video

  26. ZombieSlayer123four February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

  28. rosie x February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

gotta love those sand references  lmao

  29. Daniel Reguera February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

This is most likely me looking way too far into things mixed with some coincidence, but at 5:35 when the image pops up with Phasma on star killer base shutting down the shield generator, the image on screen directly to the left looks a lot like Snoke's new Mega Star Destroyer The Supremacy. I know it's most likely a coincidence, but the shape is uncanny.

i saw it at my target

  32. DL Lambert February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

capt phasma is one of the worst under developed characters ever. she's barely a featured extra in the force awakens & comes off like a boba fett knock off. lucasfilm & Disney really did not need phasma & she has no real story link or is vital. just bad.

  33. Palpatine001 February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Hang on Alex I think one of the novels not sure if it is Catalyst where the first time nuclear technology is mentioned. That is if I am recalling it correctly one of the planets occupied by The Empire had a nuclear reactor planet side that exploded (nuclear reactors dont explode anyway (a hydrogen or steam explosion is not a nuclear explosion)) spreading radioactive crap everywhere.

Also a proton torpedo was meant to be a supped u nuclear warhead

  34. Palpatine001 February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Okay Disney totally suck at naming classes of ships in the Post Battle of Endor Era (Resurgent is good but Mega Class?) but dang those Resurgent Class Star Destroyer Names are great: Finaliser (Finalizer for my USA counterparts) and now the Absolution. Bit like the Royal Navy with the Victory, the Indomitable, the mighty Hood (who then got sunk by Bismark), the Illustrious and the HMS Indefatigable.

  35. WD 40 February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

good book, worth a read or a listen… I'd have liked to have had another book about Ray Sloane

  36. Chris Chatham February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Cardinal notes Phasma's appearance when he sees her for the first time, and doesn't suggest she looks like anything other than a woman like Gwendoline Christie (not noting scaring or any such from her beating)

  37. Madison Badger February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

    Brilliant random facts. Thanks.

  38. Gundam Heavyarms February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Star Wars Explained, have you read Star Wars Battlefront II Inferno Squad? If not, I highly recommend it! Personally, it is my favorite canon novel.

  39. StarzoneNeo February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Blue eyes, pale skin, blond hair….. Aryan race….. the Nazi connections continue

  40. sansfi February 12, 2018 at 10:34 pm

Suddenly Im thinking… why are they called The First Order? For a organisation that LOVES so much the empire and it's based so much on the Empire you would think they wouldn't call themselves FIRST order, as if the Empire never existed.

Usually goverments that admire a past goverment usually call themselves something related to it.
