Little did you know – Slim Smith

‘Little did you know’ by Slim Smith.
2nd cut is ‘There’s a light’ by Slim Keith Smith.
Bunny Lee blank J.A. 1969.
Back to back next cuts on the ‘Everybody needs love’ rhythm.

I sometimes wonder what might have been if Slim Smith had stayed on at Studio One for the onset of the early reggae era.

This is not to detract from Bunny Lee who had many a hit on far more limited resources than Coxsone but Keith Smith backed by the Sound Dimension would have been musical immortality.

There is a note that Slim pulls out of nowhere at around 2:53 that is worth the price of admission alone.

Did not realise these cuts existed. 1st time I hear them. Killer riddim. And you're right. Slim riding those Sound Dimension riddims for Studio One would've been fantastic. Most of his output for Coxsone was during the rock steady Soul Vendors era. Gone way too soon. Great post.
