    Love love love! It is so good that you’re talking about doing what’s best for your family at (fill-in-the-blank) time. It is true that life is always changing and what has worked before doesn’t always work at another time. Our lives are not perfect and don’t need to look perfect as long as it works for our families 💕

    Great idea! 3 kids has really thrown me for a loop with organization such as meals so I think you’re smart to think this way 😁 Also you could double make these one one night and freeze it so you don’t even have to prepare it again when that 2 week rotation comes around again. Or build up a freezer supply for when baby gets here.

    I love meal planning! I meal plan breakfast, lunch and dinner….sometimes it gets boring to eat the same food again but it's only for a couple of days and then I switch to something else. I hope you continue making these type of videos!

    I pretty much only cook for two people because my son still doesn't eat too much, definitely not a full servings worth so buying things and then only cooking enough for two, I have a lot of "extras" that go bad I need to implement eating the same meals more so I use the same ingredients before they go bad! Thanks for the tip

    Such a good idea! Deciding what to make is for some reason such an obstacle. And you're right…I dont know how to make that many things. So why bother pretending I do haha. Thanks for the tips 🙂

    Super great idea(s). One thing I do is cook each meal with enough for us to eat twice in the week. Typically I will cook a meal every other day and we eat it twice in a row (or a variation of it, maybe put the chicken in a salad/quesadilla the next night) or I’ll cook 2/3 days back to back and then we have left overs for 2-3 days. I know it doesn’t appeal to everyone but it means I’m cooking every other day and it cuts the grocery bill by a lot because it’s cheaper to buy more of fewer items than a lot of small portioned items (does that make sense?).

    Hey Katie!! I have been mia for a little while and was excited to see this video.. my husband and I do this exact thing with meal planning.. it helps a lot and even though I love the ideas of new recipes and trying new things but I hate cooking sometimes!! Hope your doing good!!

    This is such a great idea! Could also have it divided by seasons too like in winter we do a lot of chili and crock pot meals and summer we grill more

    As someone who has raised 3 kids (3 yrs apart, twins, then a third), and struggled with anxiety and depression, BOY, this mindset of accepting that there needs to be seasons of simplicity, is SO lifechanging, girl!! There have been MANY stages in life when I wish I'd given myself the gift of simplicity, with cooking, with health, with parenting, with cleaning. You are very smart to realize this is a busy time in your life, and just focussing on your priorities is good enough! 👍👍

    Hey Katie, I started in January. I ask my husband to give me some meals that sound good and together we come up with about 12 to 14 meals. That is what I plan for and purchased. It doesn’t matter what night I have it. I keep the list on the refrigerator and as I cook it I mark it off. This has saved me time and money plus the hassle of figuring out what to cook. I think your idea is great and you will definitely enjoy doing it. I love mine this way and it works for us. BTW- You are looking so beautiful! I hope you are doing good with your anxiety.     When I cook meat for chili or other soups I usually cook more than I need.  Then I freeze what I'm not using and put out later for taco salad, soup, or whatever.  Great ideas Katie! Praying for you and that sweet baby that's growing in you!  xoxo

    Ok so Dad and I have a “leftover” night usually on Thur but can be any night! It cleans out the frig, makes shopping easier and economical, and yummy to eat something more than once! If you have leftovers…..we’ll take them!! Love your menu!!😘

    Great minds think alike i was planning on doing a meal planning video too. My tip is if you are repeating meals and one freezes good double it up so you don’t have to cook it again. It’s in the freezer. Just pull it out to defrost

    My biggest tip is doubling up on the easy to make stuff and freezing it for another meal. I make a Crock-Pot white bean chicken chili, but make enough to freeze for 3 more meals. (We're a family of 3 btw) but it takes no extra effort on my part, but I've got stuff in the freezer that I just need to heat up.

    THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! And soft internet hugs to you (I don’t want to squeeze the baby!) I ordered your same vacuum cleaner after hearing you rave about it so much and I love it so much!!!!! I have fibromyalgia and arthritis so the older style vacuum cleaner are just too big and bulky to. My Shark Rocket is so easy to use!!💕💕💕💕

    I get really tired around 4 o clock so I love to make dinner ( well all meals) easy.
    I just made mini hamburgers for my kids I cooked them > did the dishes < then put them in the fridge …at dinner time I'll pop them In the toaster oven. I make a ton of pancakes at once freeze them then pop those in the toaster oven. Or I'll make something like spaghetti sauce , chilli or even taco meat freeze them in bagged enough for a full meal and take them out as needed 🙂 .I love your two week rotation idea! I think I'm going to try to implement that:)

    Meal planning is life! The key is to be flexible with the plan and have a pantry and seasonings full of a variety of spices and extras so you can change your mind at the last minute! Batch cooking helps a lot too! We only cook 3 times a week and roll over meals or eat leftovers. I always recommend that people make a list of 12-15 meals that they love! Loved this video mama!!! ❤️

    Hey Katie, what I do to help me meal plan is I wait until the grocery fliers come out, look and see what meats are on sale, then plan my menu to what's on sale. If pork loin and hamburger is on sale, then we'll have pork loin one night and probably tacos and meatloaf other nights and so on and so forth lol.
    Can't wait to meet the new little one!

    Love this video because I’m in that young mommy stage of life as well and sometimes it gets hard with trying to figure everything out so your idea of a two week meal plan sounds great I’d love to catch cook for instants if I’m making Italian chicken in the crockpot will have it that way one night and then the next day I’ll shred it up and throw it into some sort of quesadilla but I’ll have to try your way

    Just an idea.. If you are rotating the meals anyway why not just do a double batch of whatever you make and freeze half for the second week so you can cut down on your cooking. Seems like it would be helpful to you to do that. I found it so much easier on nights where I all I had to do was pull something out and reheat it. I didn't have to think about what to make,, having to make it and the clean up was simple. ❣

    I love organizational/time management info, it has been an interest of mine for many years. I have read in several places home managers that have said, the most important time management tip for them is meal planning. Meal planning saves so much time, but more importantly stress. That NAGGING question….EVERYDAY! What's for dinner? 🙂 I love your suggestion, keep it simple. In my situation (an empty nester now) my husband LOVES soup, so I have collected a number of delicious and simple soup recipes, always a hit at my house. Every one needs to adjust for their situation. Take care.
