NOBODY Of sound mind will believe what I am about to explain but here it is by the numbers….
1] This is the only airport in the world That does not IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM SELL TICKETS for any airline services, therefore you must purchase that either online or from a ticket agent In a brick-and-mortar building… TRULY ASTOUNDING
2] No one is allowed in the terminal for any reason whatsoever unless you have a ticket, therefore the Large outside area is for guests To see off friends and Relatives.
3] Buses enter and exit the airport Supposedly every 20 minutes according to the matron on the bus or rather the conductor, unless they do not which was the case yesterday where I waited one hour and 45 minutes for a bus going in the proper direction. In fact several Buses came into the airport at about the one hour and 45 minute time slot and passengers were shuffled from one bus to another for some unknown reason, and buses that were originally going to Alona Beach were now headed towards the city and vice versa and no one knew why just why they say welcome to the Philippines baby.!
The good news is buses only cost 50 pesos or one dollar to go all the way to Tagbilaran city and here are the exact costs are the different routes OF THE BUSSES.
Cost from Tagbilaran city to the airport 50 pesos or one dollar.
Cost from PANGLAO Airport to Tagbilaran city 50 pesos or one dollar.
Cost from Tagbilaran city To Alona Beach 40 pesos for $.80.
COST FROM Tagbilaran city to POBLACION This 32 pesos or $.64.
Cost from the PANGLAO Airport to Alona Beach is 25 pesos or $.50.
4] TRICYCLES may only drop passengers off at the airportAnd I’m not allowed to pick up fairs.]
The same goes for motorcycle DROP OFF ONLY no exceptions.!
5] I was told by security there was ABSOLUTELY ZERO TOLERANCE for making videos inside the Terminal itself? Which I have to question what each person I spoke with yesterday was sure that even though it doesn’t make any sense.
Getting a Philippines drivers license required to followING…
1] PASSPORT if you don’t already have a Philippines drivers license plus your ECR cardf.
2] If you already have a Philippines drivers license you don’t need your passport and give them your old expired license and your ACR CARD.
3] each time you get your drivers license whether you are renewing it or applying for a new one you must get drug tested and fingerprinted As well as a simple medical Consisting of blood pressure height and weight and then EYE exam.
4] the cost of the eyeball exam and drug test is 600 pesos or $12, And this is all done across the street from the LTO or drivers license bureau. It takes about 20 minutes for them to process your Medical diagnosis and fingerprints and you are off to cross the street to get your drivers license.
5] It takes about 5 minutes Figure out what you need to do and another 20 minutes for you to fill out the form, And once again have your picture taken and electronic fingerprints.
6] the cost of the drivers licenses 600 pesos or $12.
7] It took exactly 57 minutes from the time I arrived at the drivers license Building to the time I left with my drivers license Card in my possession.
All in all Typically drivers licenses That have been fired for new drivers licenses in America of the most screwed up thing you can do.
Exactly the opposite is true here in the Philippines and this is my 2nd driver’s license and the one BUSINESS in the Philippines I can say Is amazingly efficient. ON THE 2 occasions I went to get my drivers license I went with Daisy Mae and even without a Filipino or Filipina with you the people in the drivers license business all speaking English made it very easy process.
