    Reason why you want to replace your toothbrush is not because it gets "smashed". But because it actually gets less effective when spikes get rounded as they wear out. This "hack" makes it even worse as you melt the edge off.

    –Did I miss something? Was that just plain hot water that he stirred the toothbrush around in for a few seconds, and it became like new? Was there anything mixed in the water? Or was it just plain, boiling water?
