Well, at least the love for music explains why that godawful Chemical Plant Zone was even considered for a remaster. Still think it should have been Emerald Hill or Aquatic Ruin for the Sonic 2 bit. What is it with Sonic games and awful second levels? (Sans Sonic 3K which had an awful third level and Sonic CD which didn't really have anything on the same level due to the lack of pits.)

Speaking of which, I think an episode on Sonic CD should be made. I'd really like to know why they removed a lot of the cheap pit traps in that game, as that choice alone made the 2011 version my all time favorite sonic game.

So it seems that the common denominator for level choices was the music. Surprised Chemical Plant wasn't number 2.
