Also: Copeland and Yamaoka are both absolute legends of video game music composing. I even have Winter Tundra on my phone so I can listen to it outside once snow falls.

Oooo! I got a cool music thing. I discovered it 7 years ago. The theme song to the movie Antarctica and the song from Donkey Kong Country 2 "In a Snow-bound Land" are super similar. Here is a video I did showing the differences. I updated the description to have the full version of the songs played together. Very fun to listen to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvpKEM_FrQE

In the spaceworld pokemon gold demo, Kanto's gym leader was actually Red, not Blue.

There's also sickness unto foolish death from silent hill 3 and idol springs from spyro 2, and the track spidey vs shocker from spiderman 2: enter electro also has that sample

Two different producers both used spectrasonics omnisphere templates and happened to play the same preset, just a few keys off.

That's music for you, nothing can be original when theres no unlimited sounds

Isn't it irrelevant to compare the reception of Spyro 2 and Silent Hill Homecoming here? I mean, I hated Homecoming just as much as the next person but it seems like an unnecessary low blow.

Ripto's Revenge? Wasnt Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimmer?

  25. Bobby Peru November 8, 2018 at 1:38 am

There's a track in New Adventure Island that sounds very similar to The Beatles' Back In The USSR. I've never seen anybody point that out before, so I feel like the only one to notice.

Wow, nice clickbait title. Spent all of 1 minute on Spyro and Silent Hill then moved on to other random stuff.

  28. Avith Ortega November 8, 2018 at 1:38 am

Actually that Distorted Reality library is one of the most selled and used sample libraries ever made, is used in so many games, movies and music albums that you could say Silent Hill and Spyro are linked to all existing multimedia entertainment….

0:36 , 0:43 But they sound like the PS2 startup theme to me though
