When you think of rendered images, you may think of rendering images for film or television, but there's so much more you can do with it.
In the case of Vancouver artist Joey Camacho, he wanted to use image rendering to explore biology, geometry and sound.
The images look like something found under a laboratory microscope!
The device used for these images is called the Octane Render. It's pretty fascinating stuff.
