This Woman's Photoshop Skills on These Famous Paintings Are Out of This World

Tilt-shift is usually associated with something you might do to make your Instagram feed more aesthetically pleasing.

But when it's applied to the paintings of one of history's most famous artists, Vincent van Gogh, the effect is pretty fascinating.

This is what Serena Malyon did. She applied the Photoshop technique to several of the artist's paintings.

The result?

A fascinating shift in focus.

A great way to sum up the purpose of the application of tilt-shift comes from Malyon herself.

Said Malyon: "Nothing in any of these paintings been added or removed or had its proportions changed. The effect is achieved simply by manipulating the light in the scene and adjusting the areas of the image that are more and less in focus, as you will see."

Almost seems like a different painting, doesn't it?
