a better flag idea for Disney (#1)
do Mickey heads instead of stars.

  8. Valannin February 11, 2018 at 2:36 am

Just as a point of information – the US Flag code is no longer enforceable law with the decision in Supreme Court case United States v. Eichman. Leaving a flag up 24 hours a day, or without illumination is neither a civil nor criminal infraction. And even before the 1990 case, only government entities were ever bound to the provisions of the flag code; Disney, being a private corporation, would suffer no penalty for not adhering to what is merely a guide to civilian display of the flag.

  27. Isatu Mansaray February 11, 2018 at 2:36 am

As someone that was a former Cast Member at Disney World through the Disney College program, those underground tunnels was the best idea Walt had. There is also a Subway restaurant down there for the Cast Members and a salad bar and hot grill. Also, there is a beauty salon so that the Face Actors; which are Snow White, Cinderella, etc, to get their wigs and make up done. There is a small game room down there near the door to Main Street. Another secret is how Cast Members get to the Magic Kingdom entrance for them. Cast Members have their own parking lot and there is a bus we would take from West Clock that would bus us over to the Cast Member entrance to the underground tunnels.

About the floors in fantasyland, there are special hoof prints from Maximus (the horse from tangled) and when you’re by the haunted mansion there’s a ring in the ground from the ghost bride. Also by the haunted mansion is a statue in the of a toad from the old adventure ride that was changed to Winnie the Pooh. Also there’s a real human skull in pirates of the Caribbean(you probably already know) and on Main Street there’s a window with the light always on representing that that’s where Walt Disney used to sit and watch his park and they keep in on in honor of him.

A fun Disney secret from my cousin who works at Magic Kingdom: if you see someone with the nametag "Chris from Orlando, FL", it's very likely they are not actually Chris from Orlando. When cast members lose their nametag, there is a whole bucket of nametags that say "Chris from Orlando FL" because Chris can be applied to a male or a female.
I actually experienced finding this out firsthand. I was in Disney having dinner with said cousin and our waiter's name was Chris… from Orlando, FL. My cousin asked what his real name was and he said he was Phillip from Myrtle Beach, NC. So Phillip from Myrtle Beach, you were the best waiter at Kona Cafe, hands down!
