What are the pants you recommend? I'm normally a jeans person but I'm going to a warmer destination so have my regular travel shorts and ordered another pair but lost in what to do for pants.

  13. Cynthia Bernardy October 18, 2017 at 6:17 am

Wait, Europeans don't wear shorts? That is ridiculous, I am Dutch but now living in the UK and both in the Netherlands and in the UK guys wear shorts, it is one of the most normal things to wear in warm weather.

Great video! Especially love the tip on light-weight long sleeved shirts – we recently travelled to Mexico and got eaten alive by the Mosquitos out there! Longer sleeves may have helped us out…. 🙂

I know I'm late, but what if you're allergic to polyester? Are there any polyester free options that are still good for traveling?

  33. Lexi October 18, 2017 at 6:17 am

How the hell do you afford backpacking for a year? After doing calculations I found out it's cost me $16,000 for food each day, and MAIN travel. Not even including all the small trains or buses I'll have to take to get from city to city. After figuring that out, it's starting to make me really give up on my dreams of backpacking for a year in europe.
