Protein is an important part of a healthy diet, vital to building lean muscle. It also has satiating effects, staving off hunger longer than carbohydrates.

While we at Yahoo Health are all about getting protein from the most natural sources possible (eggs, quinoa, and broccoli are some of our favorites!), we realize that powder can be a convenient way to take in protein when you need to fuel on-the-go. But let’s be real — not all protein powders taste good, nor are they made equal. So, we took initiative and held a taste test too break down some of the popular flavors and brands. Honest opinions (and reactions!) above.
