there is magical and reasonably cheap thing called a tap and die set you can get at Harbor Freight for about $12

  4. Gintaras Slipkus January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Maybe you should take a wire brush. It would be faster.

Ever hear of a thread file or even a wire brush or wire wheel on a drill. A thread chase or maybe just throw the 10cent bolt put and buy a new one. What I find the most amazing is the fact that you think this is such a awesome idea it had to be built.

The only good thing in an otherwise horseshit video is you're getting smart enough to use gloves when welding. It took you long enough to realize your foolishness.

  16. Aleks N. January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Much easier to clean bolts with wire brush on stationar grending machine

  17. Family Redhead January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

And how much time did all that take?!!!
Go to the hardware store and buy a new bolt and nut. What a complete waste of time and energy.

  18. Kamal Kant January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

    Good technic

  19. J Dovak January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

They make these things called tap & die sets👍😃…What you are doing is pretty much destroying what threads are left, weakening any bolt to just about useless strengthwise😒

  20. Dale Persails January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Hasn't this guy ever heard of or used a wire brush? Much, much, much easier, quicker, and it doesn't take nearly the amount of time to use as compared to the amount of time it took to rig his silly tool! Added bonus with wire brush is you don't need to ruin a perfectly good open-end wrench. Geees!

Use the right tools in the right Job! Use the hand top for easer cleaning not to make and damage the open range .

  28. sean o'neill January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

whats wrong with using a wire brush?

  29. Dallas Wills January 12, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Another dumb idea, you have wasted a good wrench, a good Hacksaw Blade and a lot of time. Most Hardware Stores sell thread cleaner files that are TPI gauges. Plus a steel Brush can do the job. A wire brush on a Grinder does a much better job.
