    if you're scared by the smartphone hacks you should take a look at librem 5 by puri.sm , a development project for a linux-based smartphone with hardware switches for mic, camera and gps and separated baseband from cpu. I really hope the project sees the light of day.

    I know this reads like some ad/spam but I am not affiliated, I just hope that project sees the light of day.

    I keep hearing "I'm raising awareness". You raising awareness to the average consumer who lacks the technical know how to defend against these types of attacks means nothing. They don't have the time,knowledge or resources to keep up with ever evolving threats. This seems to have the opposite effect and just makes consumers more scared. We all know cigarettes are bad for us yet we still smoke them. Security is a lie. If someone wants your info given enough time they are going to get it regardless of what measures you take.
