Try to put the fact through a sheet of 1/2” plywood. And mine came sharp, and I know how to sharpen. Believe me if I could afford the fact I would take one for my collection.

I love the benchmade factory store (i live in Oregon city) the last time I went in there to get my griptilian sharpened I had to buy a fact… the time before that it was a precipice

  4. john Mutton August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

it`s called the fact because if you get stabbed with it it would definitely get you "facted" up!

  5. Ralph Vaccaro August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

Fact: i got my first benchmade, in the mid 80s,when they were still called bali-song/Pacific Cutlery, it was a butterfly knife, they were YUGE at that time, they used to come with a sheath that the company called a cocoon (a cocoon for a butterfly) i carried it everywhere i don't know what steel it was, but 440 and 420 were the greatest then,i paid about 125$ for it then……..sold it to a friend who passed a short time later…..just reminiscing

    Factual !

  9. Toki52 August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

You guys should check out the Pardue 531. It weighs 2oz. and is about half the thickness of the Fact. It'll likely make your top 10.

  10. Shane Hulena August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

So Benchmade has fixed its fit and finish problems? I may finally get that 940 in July if they have.

My WE 618C has me covered in the "thin" zone…I did get my second BM this week…a Gray G-10, blue-linered & barrel-spaced Griptillion w/Black CPM-20CV Spydie Sheepsfoot Blade.I was surprised how blown-away that I am with this knife! FACT.

  15. Matthew Forrest August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

They should have called it the twizzler

Here's an interesting question. Are Benchmade legal in Oregon?

  21. William Zoom August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I disagree, he is so tactical now that he no longer needs cargo pants πŸ™‚

  22. IMightBeWrong August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I really like this model but I wish they had a version in a different blade steel like 20CV or M390, maybe a dealer exclusive will happen.

  23. JR Quarnberg August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I was trying to choose between the fact and the mini presidio 2. Totally different knives I know. I ended up choosing the presidio. And I really like it. But I wonder if I wouldnt like the fact better…

  24. Carlito 555 August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

  26. Valkyrie Survives August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

  27. paddys potato peelers August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

  29. Maurice de Franca August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

Save your self more than $100 and get the CRKT M16-03KS.

  30. David B August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I could never carry this knife, just in case I have to protect myself. There is no way I could convince a judge that this wicked looking blade is a cheese knife.

  31. Josue Alvarez August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I was able to get mine first production and it’s great to open and close but not much of an edc

  32. rafeer896 August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I got one of these when they first came out. mine is first production #39 of 1200. I've flip/flicked it thousands of times sitting there watching tv. It broke in and is literally smooth as glass. Definitely one of my smoothest knives. I love it. It'll break in great.

  33. jacob manalang August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

the smoke ts1 stole the show for me. they rumored to have a new style and more smokes possibly for preorder around the end of the month. I HOPE i can get in on this round. the aero and smoke are just so attractive to me.

and i was super over the 940 after i bought the 0393….but seeing you just flick it….okay im back in HAHA. i WILL own one by the end of the year.

god that smoke…i just have to have one. i wouldnt even use it. id just be like YEAH ITS SWEET I KNOW…then use my sanrenmo 7010 or whatever lol

wait do you not have the contego anymore? 940 is probably more practical huh?

  34. Troy Wheatley August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

Yall crack me up πŸ˜‰ thats a Fact. Thanks for the look , i plan on getting one just for the sake of my BM collection. I dont see myself carying alot tho. Stay stabby , take care

  35. Jody Bessert August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

  36. Death.Becomes.Her.07 Death.Becomes.Her.07 August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I really like this knife. Thanks for doing a video on it, first one I've seen

  37. Mt. Baldwin August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

I do like the long slim steak knives, the fact and crossbones were on my short list. But I ended up getting the new boker urrban trapper that just came out (not the goofy tanto), a 3.7 inch blade, 1.7 oz., cocobolo and Ti grip, bearings, vg-10, $75. And what's making the fact weight that much? The crossbones and real steel metamorph are similar size, materials and build but weight less, 2.4 oz. and 2.6 oz. The broken skull lighter too (3.1oz)

  38. David Thompson August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

    Great video as usual.

  39. Alex Poling August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

Thank you, Frankie, for pronouncing Oregon correctly. It’s a rare thing from out of staters.

  40. cameron utt August 16, 2018 at 2:21 pm

Looks like a nice enough knife, not for me though. Not much into stilletto style knives because I don't find myself having to stab very often (except for when I get into the occasional knife fight, mind you).
    BTW Happy Birthday Bird!
