Great, what this video is basicly telling you is that "We are too cheap to provide the training so we want you to spend your own hard earned money and do it yourself on your own time."

I think it is idiotic that a member of the armed forces can't go to the range and train whenever they want at no charge. Especially the Marines! You'd think you would want the tip of your spear to be as sharp as possible. Just I thought from a civilian.

"200 rounds a year isn't enough you may have to buy one yourself and become a master." Hey I was pistol qualed while I was in but damn, death by MCIs, MCMAP, and pistol on your own time? Hope barracks Marines are soon to be allowed pistols for such after hours out of pocket training. Marine Corps eats its young, then gets mad the young taste terrible.

That's why I got out. Sick of having to spend my own time and money training myself when the Corps was too cheap to do it.

If you have a pistol in 9mm can you use it in the field and overseas?

Are there exemptions from the gun laws in places like CA, NY or NJ for active duty personnel? Otherwise off duty training can be a very real issue.
