All eyes have been on Gal Gadot lately and for good reason: She’s starring as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters worldwide Friday. But beyond the big screen, the Israeli beauty has been one to watch on the fashion front, too.
She kicked off the film’s press tour in a form-fitting green Altuzarra dress while heading to her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and most recently donned a red Prada gown with embellished shoulders that simply lit up the London premiere carpet.
But obviously she hasn’t been doing this alone. Gadot’s sartorial win so far can be credited to power stylist Micaela Erlanger, who’s no stranger to putting stars on the (fashion) map (clients Lupita Nyong’o, John Boyega and Common included).
“This was such a major press tour in terms of the franchise but also for Gal as it was her first real foray onto the red carpet,” Erlanger — who ranked No. 12 on THR’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists list of 2016 — tells Pret-a-Reporter. “We wanted to build the momentum and make beautiful, bold yet glamorous choices, while keeping it super feminine.”

The momentum has been going strong, with Gadot also bringing her A-game in a shimmery Balmain mini in New York, a voluminous Giambattista Valli couture gown at the Mexico premiere and a floral striped Dolce & Gabbana dress at the Mexico City photo call.
“I am a firm believer in dressing for the occasion. So we took into account the cities and locations of each premiere. We really worked together to make thoughtful decisions — we wanted a wow factor,” explains the style guru.
While the cast continues to do press for the film, Erlanger shares that she already has a favorite look from the red-carpet circuit.
“I think the red Prada gown was so sensational on her,” says Erlanger. “We knew from the moment we tried it on that it was going to be a standout moment.”
