Mary Did You Know (Intermediate Piano Solo)

TEACHER DEMO. This beautiful Christmas song is on p.28 of Alfred’s Adult Christmas Hits Level 2. It was composed by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene in 1991. It was first recorded by Michael English who was a member of the Gaither Vocal Band. Since then, it has become a Christmas Classic and has been recorded by many musical artists reaching across genres.

It is a challenge, but if you can play measures 16 and 18 with the little notes that correspond to the lyrics of each of the three different verses, it produces a much more conducive song to sing along with.

There is a typo…they forgot to put the D.S. symbol at the beginning of measure 5 for the 3rd verse.
