I tried this today to do mashed potatoes. Waste of time. The potatoes don't peel as easy as this and the mash turned out lumpy for the first time. I use a Kenwood hand blender with masher attachment that always gives me perfect mash. Not this time. It was easier peeling the potatoes, cutting them up and boiling them. Mash turned out with no lumps and no mess to clean up. Hey, everyone to their own.

That would probably take more time Han normally pealing it originally because you have to cut it then boil it the cool it down then take the skin off

actually, this way takes longer than peel a potato with a peeler, just say you don't know what to upload and upload this kind shit dave

  35. Deborah Davis September 24, 2017 at 1:22 am

Maybe it is lazy but I quit peeling potatoes years ago, boiled for mashed, scalloped or potato salad or French fried I scrub them good and look for bad spots and cut them for whatever dish I am going to make. This is an excellent tip for those who do want them peeled though. I also don't buy the bags of potatoes anymore because it is always a crap shoot as to how many a bad and I would rather pay a little more and pick the ones I want.

any vegetable that grows underneath the ground needs to be started in cold water and things that grow above the ground can be started with hot water. I start everything in Coldwater.
